CIM Users Group – Fall North America Meeting

“A quarter century of the Common Information Model,
The Development, Growth and Acceptance of a Standard”

The UCA International Users Group invites members of the energy industry to attend the CIM Users Group – Fall North America 2023 Fall Meeting, on Oct 18-20 in Austin, Texas. This meeting will emphasize the development, growth and acceptance of the CIM standard by the industry and explore how that standard has provided techniques and best practices to achieve full data exchange and integration. Whether you are a CIM novice or expert, this meeting will provide a forum to learn more about CIM and to network with industry colleagues.

Call for Presentations

Call for Presentations is now open and we encourage you to share your CIM knowledge as it relates to our theme, the Development, Growth and Acceptance of the CIM Standard and other CIM related topics.
1. Submit a 200 – 500 word abstract outlining the presentation’s key message
2. Presenter info should be sent with the abstract and include the name, title, company, address, phone number, email, short bio and, if possible, a headshot of each presenter.

Presentation submissions are due by September 15, 2023 and can be sent to: Margaret@ucaiug.org

Presentation Policies

▪ Priority in presentation selection is given to utilities (TSOs, DSOs,), market participants, universities, and non-profit industry organizations.
▪ Suppliers may present a utility-approved presentation if they are co-authors. Preference, however, will be given to presentations with a utility presenter.
▪ All presentations must be non-commercial (no overt marketing material in the presentation) with a focus on the CIM lifecycle which is deemed to be informative and helpful to other companies considering using the CIM.
▪ Non-commercial thought leadership presentations from all CIMug members are also welcome.
▪ Presentations that demonstrate implementation experiences with lessons learned will be preferred over strategies for future projects.
▪ CIM Users Group membership is not a requirement for presentations.

Early bird rates are in effect until October 1st so please get your registration completed by then.
